
Delphinium 'Delft Blue'This beautiful recent Delphinium introduction features unique blue and white striped flowers on loose, branching racemes. It will allegedly re-bloom up to three times in a season if cut back after flowering. It's a Belladonna type and a sport (mutation) from D. Volkerfrieden' - a favourite among florists for many years, and it was discovered in 1999 by Dutch cut-flower grower Karel Heemskerk among his stock plants. 'Delft Blue' grows to 100 cm high and is US hardy in Zones 5-7. It has been available as a wholesale garden plant from Darwin Plants in Holland , UK and USA from 2004.
